Raised Bed Starter Kit: 2 Coco Peat Blocks and 1 Coco Chips Block
Overview
Two 5 kg coco peat blocks and one 4.5 kg coco chips block make about 168 quarts (about 5.6 cubic feet) of peat-free coconut coir. That is the coir third of a 4 x 4 ft raised bed filled 1 ft deep with equal parts coir, compost and topsoil. The fine coco peat holds moisture, and the chunky chips keep the mix open so it drains well and resists compaction.
What's inside
- 2 coco peat blocks, 11 lb (5 kg) each, OMRI Listed (about 59 quarts each)

- Wait 30 to 40 minutes, then fluff the coir and break the chips apart by hand.
